Firaki Book Review

I Didn’t Expect This to Feel So Easy to Read

For a book dealing with such heavy stuff, Firaki is surprisingly smooth to get through. The writing flows naturally and I never felt like I had to “prepare myself” before picking it up again. The story moves steadily without dragging which is a big plus. I liked how conversations felt natural, almost like listening in rather than reading something overly polished. There’s also a quiet intelligence running through the book that doesn’t feel showy. It respects your time and attention. If I had one small gripe, it’s that a few moments could’ve slowed down just a bit to sink in more. Still, it’s the kind of book you recommend by saying, “Just try the first few pages,” because chances are you won’t stop.
