Q1.What made you write this book?

A. During the lockdown with so much fear and anxiety I thought how about spreading some love through poems and that's how came in existence "Cashmere Diaries"

A. I was invited by Gitanjali Kapoor to write along side so many beautiful writers. This book gave me a chance to express emotions of love in a diary of overflowing words and beautiful emotions.

Q2. How long does it took you to write this book?

A. Cashmere Diaries is an Anthology and we are 12 Poets who have collabed our Poems. The book got completed in less than 3 months from the time I shared the concept.

Q3. The poems which you had written is it your own experienced ones?

A. Yes poems written in this book are my own experience since love is an expression which I feel is the most beautiful and fulfilling one❤️

A. Some are feelings that I've experienced whilst some my untold dreams, and some my fantasies.

A. The poem I wrote came from a personal experience of a love that begin as a friendship and bloom into one heart and soul.

A. I seldom write about myself. I mostly write with the flow of my thoughts at the particular moment. I usually try out various literary expressions to make it more interesting. The poems in the book too are a branch of my imagination.

Q4. What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?

A. I can write only when the sun sets. My creative brain starts working only when darkness prevails.

A. Many of my poems contain hidden meanings that I craft into the poems. I call it “Where’s Waldo?” as I may design a name or a social cause in capital letter or a simple message in the background photograph.

Q5. When did you wrote your first poem?

A. Words attracted me and tried to use them in a one-liner. Exactly on Nov 12th 2017 I wrote a one-liner . That was my first one in the writing world,

"You described me as an alluring poem,

By and by you plagiarized me"

A. When I was in school, think 4th or 5th std I penned my first poem for my Dad because he was away on work tour and I was missing him.

A. I wrote my first poem in 6th grade. I was looking out of my window early morning and was mesmerized by the glistening drops on the edges of leaves. That's when I penned my first poem, 'Dew Drops'.

A. I wrote my first poem in 2nd grade, a description poem about climbing a mountain and the nature that surrounded me.

Q6. How many books have you written and which one is your favorite? 

A. Five Books to date, 4 Anthologies and 1 my Solo Poetry book. Every book of mine is a treasure in itself and like how every child is a favorite to the Mother, same is my feeling for my Books.

Q7. Do you have any suggestions to help me become a good writer?

A. To become a good writer you need be crazily passionate to create a mark with your words. You need to have a daily regime like one may call it Saadhna also by simply reading good writers you will enhance your skill.

I believe "Poetry is when my Soul breathes through my words, pain bleeds through my ink and I witness a rebirth of my thoughts."

Q8. As a child what did you want to do when you grew up?

A. I wanted to be a singer, an actress, a dancer, an air hostess, a gypsy traveler, a fashion designer, a chef, a painter everything but never thought of becoming a poet. Even though I wrote from the age of 11.

A. I was fascinated by the world of science specially the human anatomy and aspired to become a cardiac surgeon. I suppose destiny had had different plans for me and I entered the domain of teaching and of course the world of writing

Q9. Do you view writing as a spiritual practice?

A. Writing may be a spiritual practice for some. But for me, it is a personal process, a way to express my thoughts and feelings.

A. I believe writing is like meditation. A time I surpassed drowned deep in agony.. and then it was the juggling of words , feelings, emotions, thoughts that sprouted as poetry and gave me the ultimate solace... I revived through my ink.

Q10. What advice would you like to give to our readers? Also tell us something about your journey with BecomeShakespeare.com. How have you enjoyed your publishing journey so far ?

A. Read good Poets, use vocabulary that you're comfortable with, read what you write at least twice before you publish it to avoid grammatical errors and don't get anxious about followers but yes create a social media presence to promote your books/writings. BecomeShakespeare.com publisher of my books "Priceless Pearls" and my Anthology "Cashmere Diaries" has been a great support. The team of project managers made it a smooth sailing and this experience has given me the confidence to work with t hem for all my future projects.
